Our restaurant reopened in Summer 2022 following a major kitchen renovation and with our amazing new chef, Kieran Wilson, at the helm.
Since then we have been delighted by how well our new menus have been received and the number of glowing online reviews from happy customers. But this is just the beginning, Kieran is constantly looking for new inspiration so that the dishes we offer change not only seasonally but weekly via our eclectic Specials’ Board so that there really is something to tempt everyone!
To provide some insight, we did a Q&A with our Kieran to get your questions answered:
Can you tell us a little about the menu?
Our exciting new menu is traditional, pub-inspired. Options range from signature dishes, such as fish and chips and slow cooked shoulder of lamb, to our more adventurous dishes such as Moroccan Cous Cous burritos for those looking for something a little different. We’ll also offer a regularly updated daily ‘Specials’ for seasonal plates and more unusual dishes to supplement our regular menu.
What is the aim of the dining experience?
We seek to give our customers a true welcome to Yorkshire with our relaxed, characterful pub and restaurant. The menu is designed to be highly seasonal so that we can introduce timely updates as well as include signature dishes that can be enjoyed all year round.
What is your favourite dish and why?
Hard to choose one, but I think you’d have to go a long way to beat our traditional Sunday roast! It’s always great to get the whole family together round the table.
Can you tell us about your sourcing and ingredients?
We truly believe in supporting local businesses and our community so, wherever possible, our ingredients are locally sourced from trusted producers and suppliers.
What are the restaurant opening times?
Our service times are:
Wednesday – Friday 12 – 3pm and 5pm – 8.30pm
Saturday 12pm – 8.30pm and
Sunday 12pm – 6.30pm.
Monday & Tuesday – Closed
